Following the identification of a five year housing land supply deficit in Broadland District, CODE presented to the landowners the potential opportunity and developed a strategy for obtaining planning permission. CODE project managed and led the negotiation of the successful grant of planning permission for 200 homes with additional land reserved for allotments and expansion of the local doctors' surgery.
The key elements to the success of the project was the direct and inclusive involvement of the community and the parish council. Community engagement was led by CODE in partnership with the Princes' Foundation and relevant technical experts.
Manor Farm Park will be developed as a high quality extension to the established community of Drayton ahead of the preparation of a neighbourhood development plan for the village. CODE acts as an adviser on the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group.
