Size/Use: 250 new homes
Following the identification of a five year housing land supply deficit in Broadland District, CODE presented to the landowners the potential opportunity and developed a strategy for obtaining planning permission. CODE project managed and led the negotiation of the successful grant of planning permission for 250 homes with additional land reserved for allotments and expansion of the local doctors' surgery.
The key element to the success of the project was the direct and inclusive involvement of the community and the parish council. Community engagement was led by CODE in partnership with the Princes' Foundation and relevant technical experts. CODE also acted as invited advisers to the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group.
Manor Farm Park is currently being developed as a high-quality extension to the established community of Drayton.
